Simplify Your Spring Wardrobe With This One Easy Piece

I don’t know about you but I seem to have 2 speeds in my closet — super casual/working from home outfits, or dressy/office-cocktail. What about the in-between outfits? The teacher’s conference / going to a museum / lunch with a former colleague downtown-kind of outfits? Thanks to my friend Molly (you can follow her on Instagram @mollymorrisdesigns), I heard about Xander & their divine shirtdresses, which can occupy that in-between territory quite effortlessly...

I don’t know the founder of Xander personally, but apparently she raided her husband’s closet for inspiration & ended up using his tailor to create prototypes. Her founding idea is that  Xander could be a “modern woman’s shirtdress maker.”  Love it!

Today, Xander is headquartered in New Canaan, CT (10 minutes from where I grew up, so I have to support a fellow Connecticut girl:) — and she has a workshop in NYC where all her garments are manufactured. (Note: each of these items comes in other colors, so check out their website - Xander  - for more options.)

I’m so energized by all these women entrepreneurs creating their own products on their own terms….afterall, they know their market because they are designing what THEY need and want!  I’ve featured these kinds of brands before such as MM LaFleur,  & Loeffler Randall….

Please let me know if you know of other brands like this created by women for women — just email me at Lee@ElegantMayhem.com.  I’d love to to support them and give them more word-of-mouth business!
