Holiday Shopping for Design Lovers
I’m a pretty bang-up last-minute shopper, but certain people on my list require more advance planning. You know those people — they have an eye for detail, quality, originality, beauty….love gorgeous packaging & something perhaps bespoke. If you have someone like this on your Holiday Shopping List too, NOW is the time to get ourselves started! I’ve rounded up a bunch of ideas to suit this super-discriminating type — let’s go….
Because so many design aficionados live in NYC or San Francisco, you might do well with these whimsical bookends (of the Golden Gate Bridge or The Brooklyn Bridge)….
You can’t go wrong with anything that Cabana magazine founder Martina Mondadori curates! Her little gold rimmed bowl from Italy via Moda Operandi would be an easy win…..
Switching from a typical present-under-the-tree, I love to give yearly museum memberships to my biggest design loving friends. If you give a membership to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, for example, they’ll get access to the members-only Balcony Lounge too.…

It’s a beautiful space (not as empty as in the photo!) & a great place to relax, read, meet a friend for a drink while you’re there.
Coming up with something ORIGINAL is half the battle with people who love design — I adore this magazine rack & haven’t seen anything else like it!
And because every design snob relishes great packaging, why not make it easy on yourself with these luxurious Claus Porto soaps….
Anything French is usually a good choice — I love these cozy felt slippers designed in France for Serena & Lily….
An awesome coffee table book is another go-to option….as you might have heard, I’m obsessed with these two new titles!
