Inspiration from The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel - Season 3!!

She’s baaaaack! Well, almost. Set your dials for Friday, Dec. 6th, when The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (Amazon) returns for Season 3. Here’s a sneak peek at some of the costumes & a bit about why we’re all so obsessed with this show…..

Season 1 took place in 1958, so if my guess is right, we’re going to be in about 1960 this season. Since the “60’s” as we think of them didn’t really start until the late 1960s (Woodstock was in 1969), this season has a very innocent kind of vibe that feels rooted in the 1950s.

Say hello to Midge’s mom Rose!!

Of course, we’ll see lots more of Midge’s manager Susie Myerson below this season - love her! And I really love Midge’s pillbox hat too:)

We know that a lot of the action moves from NYC to Miami this season - which gives great excuse to show Midge dolled up in pink bathing suit with matching hat & manicure! (By contrast, I am currently packing for a trip and can barely even find shoes with mates among my boxes of last winter’s clothes!)

I think one reason so many of us were pulled into the storyline in the past two seasons has to do with Midge’s resourcefulness and optimism. Her punchy wardrobe, peppy, determined stride, quick witted dialogue — it’s just energizing to watch her & see what will happen next!

Of course, her on-screen dad Abe (below) will be along for the ride as well. So the countdown is on! Remember Amazon, Dec. 6th. And if you haven’t gotten into the series yet, it’s not too late to binge Seasons 1 & 2 so you’re ready:)
